able (adj.) ความสามารถ - have enough skill to do something.
“I wasn’t able to do my math homework.”

act (v. acts, acting, acted) แสดง, กระทำ, แกล้งทำ - a pretended attitude
“He acts like a fool in the classroom.”

agree (v. agrees, agreeing, agreed) ตกลง - to say that you will do something that someone else has suggested.
“He agreed to paint the house white.”

annoy (v. annoys, annoying, annoyed) ทำให้รำคาญ, ทำให้เคือง - to make someone feel angry.
“Stop annoying your little sister.”

as (preposition) ในฐานะที่เป็น, เหมือนกับ - used when comparing things.
“You are not as old as me.”

being (pre. par.) ความเป็นอยู่ , การดำรงอยู่ -
“I think being a policeman is a dangerous job.”

change my mind (phrase) เปลี่ยนใจ
“I changed my mind after my friend said he would go too.”

choose (v. chooses, choosing, chosen) คัดเลือก - to pick out one thing.
“Choose which picture you like the best.”

during (pre.) ระหว่างที่ - all through a period of time.
“Please do not talk during morning assembly.”

even though (adverb) - although แม้ว่า
“The students forgot their homework, even though the teacher reminded them.”

experience (n. experiences, experiencing, experienced) ประสบการณ์ - knowledge or skill which comes from doing something.
“I don’t know how to cut hair. I have had no experience.”

explain (v. explains, explaining, explained) อธิบาย - to make something clear and easy to understand.
“The Math teacher explained to us how to do the work.”

few (n. fewer, fewest) น้อยมาก - not very many
“There were only a few students absent today.”

fail (v. fails, failing, failed) ล้มเหลว, สอบตก - to be unsuccessful
“He always fails his history exam.”

friendly (adj.) เป็นมิตร - acting in kind or pleasant way.
“We played a friendly football match this morning.”

just (adj.) เพิ่ง, เพียง -
“Just writing an essay isn’t enough. You must also draw a picture.”

of course (adv.) เป็นธรรมดา, แน่ละ, แน่ทีเดียว - certainly
“Of course I still want to marry you.”

once (adv.) ครั้งเดียว, หนหนึ่ง - one time
“I go to the cinema once a month.”

part-time (adjective) ล่วงเวลา, เวลาว่าง - working part of the time for a regular job.
“My mum has a part-time job working in a shop for two hours every day.”

problem (n. problems) ปัญหา - something that is difficult to deal with.”
“I had lots of problems doing my English homework today.

promise (n. promises, promising, promised) สัญญา - to say you will do something for sure.
“I promise that tomorrow I will be a good student all day.”

really (adv.) จริงๆ, แท้จริง - truly or in fact.
“I really cannot help you tomorrow. I am very busy.”

remember (v. remembers, remembering, remembered) จดจำ - to keep someone or something in your memory.
“I remember seeing him last year.”

scared (adj.) กลัว, การตื่นตกใจ- frightened of something or someone..
“I was all alone last night and I felt very scared when I heard a loud noise downstairs.”

still (adv.) ยังคง, แม้กระนั้น - even so
“I know your painting is good, but still I think mine should win a prize.

strict (adj. stricter, strictest) ที่เข้มงวด - severe in demanding obedience to rules of behaviour.
“All of our teachers are very strict.”

successful (adj.) ที่ประสบความสำเร็จ - getting the result you aimed for.
“After trying to mend my motorcycle for many days we finally had success this morning.”

suppose (v. supposes, supposing, supposed) ควรจะ, สมมุติ, คิดว่า - to consider something to be probably true.
“I suppose I will have to help you clean the house tomorrow.”

task (n. tasks) งาน (ที่ต้องใช้สติปัญญา) - a piece of work that has to be done.
“My father gave me a hard task this weekend to clean the garage.”

tease (v. tease, teasing, teased) ล้อ, เย้าแหย่, สัพยอก - to make fun of someone
“It is not good to tease fat students.”

themselves (pro.) พวกเขาเอง -
“They introduced themselves to the class.”

too (adv.) เกินไป - more than is needed or wanted
“The music was too loud. It hurt my ears.”

yourself (pro.) ตัวคุณเอง -
“Why don’t you buy yourself some new clothes?”

while (conj. whiles, whiling, whiled) ในขณะที่, ระหว่าง - during the time when something is happening.
“He read a cartoon book while he was eating breakfast.”
